About Me

I have been involved with dogs most of my life, Owning, Showing, Breeding, Grooming and in 1992 I passed my exams to become a Kennel Club Championship Show Judge.
I chose my very own Afghan Hound more than 35 years ago and attended my first open dog show, I was hooked and many more shows followed with some success, within a year another Afghan joined us and I started attending and winning at Championship shows where I made friends in many breeds whose knowledge has now proved invaluable to me. I watched in awe as they prepared terriers, poodles and American cockers to name but a few, they looked immaculate, this is when my interest in grooming other breeds took off, I had the best teachers in the country around me and I took full advantage of their knowledge and experience, over the years I have worked on most breeds and have attended many seminars across the country.
In 2011 the decision was made to leave my secure job as a retail manager and take the plunge to do what I have loved for so many years, a big step but with the help and support of Alan I knew the time was right.
CountrySide Pets was born and we now have the fully equipped grooming salon at Ingleton.
